TJGG 5-year Anniversary and CONTEST!
Today marks the fifth anniversary of ThatJoshGrobanGuy.com, and I wanted to take a moment just to thank everyone who has contributed to the site, kept it going, given support over these years. I’ve said it before and it’s absolutely true…there’s no way that one person could do this alone. TJGG is a labor of love, a collective effort of the hundreds of fans who have contributed to it by helping keep me posted about news, sending me media clips from around the world, or just keeping me going with messages of encouragement. I’m so thankful for ALL of you every day. To all of the amazing “team” who has been so gracious and supportive all these years…WBR, management, PR reps, GroBand members, mods, radio and media reps, and the Groban family…thank you, thank you, thank you…from all of us.
When I first came up with the idea to start TJGG, there was no such thing as YouTube, Myspace, Facebook, or Twitter (hard to believe!). Sharing videos online meant having a server to put them on, and most fans didn’t…so fans resorted to making and mailing CDs and DVDs all over the world to share them with other fans, or help introduce new fans to Josh’s music. There were already some incredible fans out there who shared media…Wilson, Yasuko, DarylO, Ellen, Manon, Anne-Laure, others…and without them, the earliest media would not exist. I’m so grateful that they had the early vision to begin saving these clips and sharing them before I’d ever even HEARD of Josh Groban. But TJGG was born out of the desire to give fans one inclusive place to go for any media clip that was ‘out there’, along with accurate information about Josh and his music. I had no idea what I was getting into! 
The first month, I had to quadruple the server bandwidth as I learned that Grobanites are–as someone had tried to warn me–”voracious” for their Josh media. Since then, the site has grown like wildfire, with over 300,000 visitors and millions of hits per year.
While it’s something I’m immensely proud of, I take no credit for the success of TJGG over these years…there would BE no “ThatJoshGrobanGuy” without the amazing talent of the person it was inspired by and created for. JOSH, it’s all you. TJGG stands as just further proof of how loved you are by your fans, how enduring your music is, how it inspires people. It’s your music that draws people in, and your remarkable spirit that keeps them there. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing us all on such an incredible journey with you. As I’ve told you before….”you keep doing your thing, I’ll keep doing mine.”
Now…In thanks and celebration of the anniversary, I’m happy to announce that TJGG is hosting another giveaway contest! In conjunction with Warner Music Entertainment and Noble PR Ltd, TJGG will give away one copy of “Josh Groban: Awake Live!” on Blu-ray disc.
